Please donate to our Hooes Road Park Adopt-a-field fund!
The comprehensive Redevelopment and Renovation Plan at Hooes Road Park was a joint effort between the Fairfax County Park Authority, the Springfield Babe Ruth baseball league and Springfield Youth Club. SYC led the planning effort and provided over 50 percent of the funding for the project. This project greatly benefits the club’s soccer and lacrosse programs.
Since the field’s fall 2006 dedication, SYC continues to help fund the maintenance requirements at Hooes Road Park by participation in the county’s adopt-a-field program. Participation in this program enables SYC to maintain priority use status at Hooes Road Park for its field sports. Adopt-a-field maintenance costs for Hooes Road Park is approximately $20,000 a year and will likely continue to rise.
In order to keep program costs down, but continue to participate in the Hooes Road Park adopt-a-field program as well as maintain priority use status, SYC is asking for donations to help with the costs associated with maintaining the field.
If you use Hooes Road Park and benefit from the use of this premier park field, please consider donating to our field fund. Click here to donate now online using our secure donation website and select Hooes Road Park in the drop-down menu. All donations to SYC are tax deductible.
