Springfield South County Youth Club (SYC) Lightning is professionally coached by Danny Wadeson. Coach Wadeson played soccer in England for the BoltonWanderersAcademy, was a faculty member and head soccer coach for the University of Bolton, and holds the National Youth license, a USSF license and a UEFA license. In addition, our assistant coach, Michael Jacobson, holds a VYSA D license. He played soccer for the Chicago German Men’s league and the US Army Europe German-American soccer league. Mike has extensive experience coaching youth from ages U12 through U19.
Our team is composed of competitive soccer players who share a love of soccer and also enjoy strong friendships with their team mates. They consistently display excellent sportsmanship during matches, encouraging and supporting one another through both wins and losses. Lightning players share a unique camaraderie both on and off the field!
