·          Club membership has grown to over 4,900 families. Many children participate in multiple sports.   In 2005, we processed over 9,500 registrations for the nine sports programs offered.

 

·          Over 3,000 volunteers donate their time annually to make SYC programs a great experience for our children.

 

·          The new fields at Hooes Road Park opened for play in May 2006. SYC contributed $50,000 for design engineering, and $390,000 for renovation of the three rectangular fields to provide a safe and improved playing environment for our youth.

 

·          In May, SYC held the 31st Annual Virginian Soccer Tournament which has grown to host over 670 teams from throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.

 

·          SYC sports programs are played at over thirty Fairfax County Park Authority and Fairfax County Public Schools fields and gyms.
