On court sessions are for new and experienced referees, SYC recommends that all new referees attend both on court training sessions, these sessions are optional for experienced referees.

All referees that attend will be paid for one game for each on-court training session attended, providing that they referee at least 4 games during the winter season.

Referee shirts and whistles will be distributed at the on court sessions.

On-Court Training Session 2

Dates / Time: Saturday December 12, 2015, 12 – 2pm

Location: Key Intermediate School Gymnasium

Refs that have shirts and whistles should bring them to the on court sessions.

Referee Requirements:

► Must be 13 years of age or older, or turn 13 during the season (by March 31, 2016).

► New Officials must attend the classroom training and one on court training session.

► No experience necessary, training for new referees provided, refresher training for experienced referees also provided.

► Must be Available to referee on most Saturdays, from Jan. 3 to approximately March 15, 2016.

If you have not refereed before you must attend the classroom training. Those new referees who do not attend the classroom training session will not be able to referee for SYC during the winter season, - no make-ups and no exceptions.
