Sponsorship Program

Our annual lacrosse fundraising program enables us to offer a top-notch youth lacrosse program and provide high-quality equipment and uniforms while still keep registration fees affordable for our families.  The money raised through our fundraising efforts is vital to the success of our program and we depend on the active participation of all our lacrosse families to ensure our long-term success.  As an incentive for your participation, all of our teams can earn free embroidered team jackets, paintball parties, or tee shirts, as well as the lacrosse program yearbooks.  For more information please click on the link below.  Thank you for your support!

Coach Dennis Stewart

Coach Dennis Stewart, the Director of Operations for TripleEDGE Lacrosse, is known in most Northern Virginia lacrosse circles as simply, "Coach."  When we speak of Coach, most people in the lacrosse community know who we are talking about.  We’re talking about the man who sets the standard for all other lacrosse coaches - a man who is larger than life, who has an undying passion, limitless knowledge, and pure love for the great game of lacrosse.  He’s someone who is never at a loss for words, a quick joke, or an amusing lacrosse anecdote.  Every young player who has passed through the doors of the SYC Lacrosse program has benefited from Coach’s expertise, whether he or she attended a TripleEDGE camp, clinic, or league game, or was taught by an SYC lacrosse coach who learned about coaching the game directly or indirectly from Coach.

On Friday, Sep 25, while preparing for a weekend of lacrosse, Coach suffered a serious stroke.  He was taken to the ER in Prince William Hospital and then flown by helicopter to INOVA Fairfax Hospital’s Neuro Science Intensive Care Unit.  Coach continues to improve every week, but he has a long road to recovery.  He and his family could use our prayers.  To follow Coach’s progress, and to post messages of encouragement, please go to INOVA Health System’s CarePages’ web page for Coach Dennis.  Thank you.

Practice Fields
We Need Your Help!
There is a severe shortage of practice fields available to SYC Lacrosse.  To help us ease the strain, please contact Dave Janas if you can arrange for practice space on a field controlled by a homeowners association, church, military base, or any group other than Fairfax County.  Thank you!
Green Team Volunteers Needed

SYC has made significant investments and taken considerable time and effort to develop and improve the quality and safety of our rectangular fields. We need your help to protect these investments and create opportunities to do more at other SYC fields. We have brought portions of our field maintenance and upkeep in-house and need a cadre of volunteers to be part of that program to help groom the rectangular fields at Hooes Road Park and Coach Bob Elseth Field (near Greensprings Village).

Partnering with Physical Education Instructors
Promoting Lacrosse in Our Community
SYC Lacrosse is pleased to offer physical education instructors in grades K-8 our lacrosse starter package.  We'll loan elementary or middle school instructors 12 soft lacrosse sticks, 6 balls and the instructor's choice of an instructional video, DVD or book from our lacrosse library.  Our goal is to promote the sport in our community.*  All we ask in return is that instructors return the materials at the end of their week or two-week instructional period.  Please contact Dave Janas if you are interested.  Parents, please pass this opportunity on to your child's physical education teachers.

*Our community includes ES and MS that feed into Edison, Hayfield, Lake Braddock, Lee, South County and West Springfield HS.
