When you register as a volunteer with SYC, you will be required to complete the Concussion Education Training (CET) in order to maintain compliance with Virginia State Law.

Please submit your coach’s application and sign up to volunteer (new or returning travel coaches, managers and trainers). 

It is mandatory for all volunteers to register with SYC as a volunteer. All registered volunteers will be submitted for background/kidsafe check. 

Please be sure to complete the concussion awareness training. Your completed training is valid for 1 year.

U11 – U12 Field Dimensions for HOOES ROAD PARK #2 (LEFT side) and HOOES ROAD PARK #3 (RIGHT side). They should be identical in length and width.

• width 55 yards
• length 85 yards
• penalty area 14 yards out from each goal post along the end line and 14 yards out from the end line onto the field
• goal area 6 yards out from each goal post along the end line and 6 yards out from the end line onto the field
• penalty spot 10 yards from the end line
• radius for penalty arc-8 yards
• goals-6 ft high and 18 ft wide

Every sideline will have, at a minimum, spectator lines painted on the ground: minimum three yards back from the touchline, where space permits, and if not enough space, 1 or two yards, beginning 18 yards in front of each end line. Spectators must remain behind this line at all times. Coaches, managers, or TSLs are responsible for keeping the touchlines clear of spectators and players.

All portable goals will be properly anchored or weighted. If a goal cannot be properly anchored or weighted the activity on the field should be abandoned (by the referee).
