Congratulations to both Alex Herrera and Henock Mesfin of the rising U-16 SYC Fire Gold for their strong showing in international competitions this past 2006 spring season. After a solid performance with his 1991 Region 1 ODP team against the junior teams in the Spanish Primera Liga, Alex was promoted to the U.S. National Team pool. Henock was a major goal and assist contributor for his 1990 state ODP team in a successful tour against top junior teams of the German Bundesliga, which included a stunning 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich.
