Membership Fees, Volunteerism and Non-Volunteer Fees
Effective 4/15/2011 our Fee Structure has been revised as follows:
 
New Member Fee- $35.00– Each family registering with SYC for the first time is charged a $35 new member fee.
  
NOTE: The membership year begins with the registration of any sport starting with Summer through the following Spring.
 
Non-Volunteer Fee-$40.00-In the prior membership year, should a family not perform one of the required volunteer jobs of 8 hours; a $40 non-volunteer fee will be charged. As long as a family member completes their volunteer service each membership year, the family will not have to pay the non-volunteer fee in the subsequent year.
 
Philosophy – One of the Springfield/South County Youth Club’s most valuable resources is its pool of volunteers who are essential in providing quality youth sports activities to the members of our community. The non-volunteer fee is primarily intended to stimulate volunteerism and active involvement in support of the operation of the club’s programs. 
 
 
Each activity in SYC has determined guidelines as to what function will satisfy the volunteer requirement for that particular program. 
 
Some examples of volunteer positions that satisfy the volunteer requirement are: coach, assistant coach, team parent, field maintenance, gym setup, scorekeeping, uniform/equipment distributions and returns, or administrative help. Each sport will decide the volunteer jobs that meet the above requirement. 
 
*Please remember it is your responsibility to volunteer.
 
**The New Member Fee and Non-Volunteer fees are non-refundable. All fees are per family, not per child.
