South County Little League is sponsoring a clinic the week of August 5-9, 6pm-8pm, for girls age 7-13.  This is with Julia Czarnecki, former GMU player (her bio is below).  The cost is $120 for the week.  SYC players are encouraged to sign up.  Depending on overall attendance, clinic will be held indoors at Metro Baseball or Potomac Fields in Lorton.

Hitting/Slapping/Fielding Instructor
Julia grew up in northern California where she played for the Sorcerers and NorCal Shockers. She continued her softball career playing Division 1 softball at George Mason University as a starting outfielder all four years, and lead-off slapper. During her time as a Patriot she received multiple awards. As a freshman, she was named CAA Rookie of the Week, was presented A10 Commissioner's Honor Roll the next two years, and was named VaSID All-State Second Team her senior year. Her senior year she finished first on the team in batting average (.350), first on team in hits (49), first on team in runs scored (30). She is currently back at Mason getting her master's in Environmental Science and Policy.
