New for Fall 2024!
Due to the recent popularity of cheer participation the past couple of seasons, SYC Cheer will be expanding its program this fall. We will be trying a different kind of recreational cheer squad - one that will focus on performances (of course they will still learn cheers). This new squad will be classified as "Rec - Performance" while our regular squads will be "Rec - Sideline". Nothing will change with our Rec-Sideline squads, they will still cheer at football games and create a routine to be performed at our end of season Pep Rally.
This squad will still go to Kick Off and Pep Rally, and have one weekday indoor practice, like normal.
Additionally, they will have one outdoor practice on game days at the football stadium. At the end of this practice they will perform during the halftime of the football game. After the performance they will be free to go.
Cheerleaders will need to be in grades 2-4 during the fall season. Additionally, they MUST have participated in at least one season of SYC Cheer.

$10 discount for each additional child from same family participating in fall cheer.
$200 hold check for uniform use. (Only cashed if uniform set and poms are not returned after the season.)
Ages
Grades 1 - 9 as of Fall 2024
Days/Times
Practices: Once a week. Practices are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Day/time/location is selected by cheer coaches in late August. Practice start times are generally between 5:30PM-6:30PM and last between 1-1.5 hours, depending on the age group.
Games: Normally on Saturdays, sometimes Sundays, or other days for makeups.
