PLEASE NOTE: To the extent possible, teams are formed from players living in the same general neighborhood. Because of the large number of children in the REC program, SYC cannot guarantee consideration of special requests for placement, coaches or teams. Issues such as carpools, day care, work schedules, etc., should be worked out by the individual parents.

SYC REC Soccer is implementing a new U16 Girls REC division starting in the Fall of 2018. Why are we sharing this with you? Over the years, SYC has received inquiries regarding implementing a division that provides an interim development division between U14 and U19. Previously, when a player aged out of U14G, they would rise into the U19G High School Girls House Soccer League (a banded age group of U15-U19). Now, SYC is implementing a U16G division providing an option for those players that do not desire to play immediately with the U19 division after leaving U14, but rather play more with their peers. This U16G division is also a banded age group of U15s and U16s that will play in the Suburban Friendship League.
NOTE: For the Fall 2018, rising U15G players may or may not be assigned to the same team, nor have the same coach, from the Spring 2018 season. Therefore, like the U19G division, teams are formed based on the general team development guidelines: age, neighborhood, school, and experience with the overall objective to create balanced, competitive teams.
So what does this mean for your daughter? We will provide some options for players with birth years of 2003 (rising U16) & 2004 (rising U15) that will start this Fall:
(*) Play up requests may be submitted via the PLAY UP REQUEST FORM.
Process of Registration
You will register your daughter as you normally would, based on her year of birth. Upon completion of the registration, you may then request a division update based on the criteria above:
Thank you for registering your daughter with SYC REC Soccer. We are very excited for this new division option.
Have a great summer!
