IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION For Travel Soccer

Springfield/South County Youth Club offers financial aid to help eligible youth and their families with Club fees. Financial aid awards will be based on the number of players demonstrating need, the extent of that need, and the budget available for financial aid in a given year. Financial aid will not cover travel team fees and/or fees related to team activities. Additionally, players receiving scholarships are required to commit to SYC for the full season.

SYC offers scholarships to travel soccer players who can demonstrate financial need. The standard scholarship will cover 30% of the player's Club Fees, not including the non-refundable deposit. The non-refundable deposit is not discountable. To qualify the player must:

(1) Be offered a position and registered for SYC travel soccer or SYC developmental academy team

(2) Provide evidence of need:

a) Medicaid letter

b) SNAP, Foster Care Card, TANF or Aid for Dependent Children

(3) Apply for a scholarship in the registration system. (The scholarship application is separate from the acceptance registration. Please complete the scholarship application first and wait for approval/denial before completing the acceptance registration.)

While residency in Fairfax County is not a requirement for financial aid, preference will be given to players who reside in Fairfax County.
