SYC Recreational (Rec) volleyball is a co-ed program open to players from 4th grade through 8th. Rec volleyball allows prospective players the chance to learn the fundamentals of the game in a no-pressure league. No previous playing experience is required. Teams have one practice and one game a week in school gymnasiums in Fairfax County.

SYC Travel at the middle school and high school level is for girls that have previous experience with volleyball and would like for more challenging play. It is therefore a more competitive and organized version of a rec league. Middle School Travel involves players who are selected to play on a team through tryouts and compete against other club or travel teams in the local area.  High School Travel play can take place in the local area as well as regional/national tournaments.

All teams are coached by SYC-cleared volunteer coaches.
