SYC is excited to announce the 2025 - 2026 All-Star Cheer season registration is open. SYC All-Star cheer is a performance team that showcases their talent at various events throughout the year, proudly representing the SYC Cheer program. Over the next year, they will engage in numerous community events and performances, support the SYC Rec Cheer program, and wrap up the season with a spring competitions.

About Tryouts:

• An interest meeting will be held March 2nd @ 2:00 PM at 7411 Alban Start Court, Springfield VA.

• Tryout Date: Thursday March 27th from 6PM-8PM - Location will be provided to registered candidates. 

• Video of dance/cheer to be provided to candidates. 

• Tryout: Perform dance, cheer,  jumps, tumbling in groups of 2 or 3 cheerleaders in front of panel of coaches.

• Who is Eligible: Current 3rd-7th graders with at least 1 season of rec cheer. Candidate should demonstrate exemplary team spirit, excellent cheer skills, and be able to perform a cartwheel and forward roll.

Tryouts are FREE, but candidates must be registered for tryouts to participate.
