George Angulo was a longtime volunteer with Springfield/South County Youth Club (SYC) serving as Coach, Deputy Commissioner, and SYC Board of Directors.  George passed away suddenly in July of 2016.  George was a valued friend and an important member of our club. George’s legacy will remain visible through the annual:

 “George Angulo Scholarship Award”.

In memory of George, SYC is pleased to announce the availability of a $1,500 college scholarship awarded annually to two area high school seniors  with a history of volunteer service.

APPLICATION DEADLINE – March 31st

A completed application must be submitted to the SYC Scholarship Committee no later than March 31st of each calendar year for consideration for the following academic term. The scholarship will be presented at SYC’s annual meeting on the second Thursday in May.
